I am at a transition point in life, having retired recently from my second career with a non-profit organization in Washington, DC. This visit to Paris is part of my plan to arrange volunteer work in Europe and Mexico/South America where I can improve language skills and see other countries from an inside perch. My wife Leslie and I maintain homes in Virginia and Massachusetts; we are trying to decide whether to continue living in two locations, to settle down in one place, or to find a third option.
